Twenty Seagis Team Members Recently Volunteered Their Time to Help Renovate a Home for a Local Family in Need

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (August 1, 2022) – Seagis Property Group LP (“Seagis”), one of the U.S. East Coast’s most active industrial real estate owners and investors, today announced the launch of SeagisService—a community outreach program intended to make a positive impact on the communities where Seagis employees live and work. The company kicked off its new formalized outreach efforts with a day of volunteering. More than 20 employees worked together to renovate a Habit for Humanity home in the greater Newark area for a local family in need.

“Giving back to the Newark community is especially important to us, as we own several properties here and have two new warehouse projects coming soon,” said Omer Mir Ahmed, Partner, who is based out of Seagis’ New Jersey office. “It felt great to get our employees together to help renovate a home for a local family in need. We look forward to continuing our community outreach efforts with more SeagisService Days that allow us to make a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work.”

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort. The housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. To learn more, visit
